Business Might Kill You

Business activities, no matter how busy, can be detrimental to your well-being. Busy work, a busy mind, and a busy life filled with busy tasks can all lead to a state of exhaustion. It’s not the hard work that’s harmful, but rather the pursuit of a busy life that can be damaging. Being busy often means there’s no time to think, and actions without thought can lead to mistakes or the need to redo tasks.

Thoughtless actions shape our lives, and a life filled with such actions can lead to despair, which we often refer to as regret. So, what does it mean to think? Thinking is about understanding the purpose of your life, which should be the foundation of every action you take to achieve your life goals. In this sense, thinking can be seen as a manifestation of one’s faith.

If you lack a clear purpose in life, you may feel as though you’re thinking and achieving, but your actions may not be consistent with your ultimate goals. Eventually, you might find your life filled with random achievements that hold little personal value. The same applies to me.

In summary, from birth, you should aim to establish your life’s purpose. While all your experiences are valuable and eternal, setting a life purpose can enhance your life’s journey. The term ‘life purpose’ may seem strange and neglected in today’s world, where the primary goal often seems to be making money without much thought. More money is equated with a higher chance of happiness.

Money is important, but it should not be the ultimate goal of your life. Money is a generally accepted measure of value, although it’s difficult to define precisely. One thing is certain: money can be compared. Which is greater, 1 or 100? Obviously, it’s 100. More money is perceived as better.

However, can you compare the true essence of yourself to others? No one can, and indeed, no one desires to have their true self compared and valued by numbers.

Therefore, your ultimate goal cannot be money, as it fails to define who you truly are. Your life purpose should be something you genuinely desire, not just what is deemed valuable by society.

Find what you truly want; that’s your life goal. Doubting your current pursuits is a healthy attitude when establishing your life purpose. You should test your desires because sometimes you may not fully understand what you want. Clarify your desires.

To be frank, pursuing business solely for money can erode your soul, not just your body.
