The Life of Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein, born on March 14, 1879, in Ulm, Germany, is one of the most influential physicists in history. He developed the theory of relativity, which revolutionized our understanding of space, time, and energy. In 1921, he received the Nobel Prize in Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect, which was pivotal in establishing quantum theory.
Einstein’s work had a profound impact on the development of atomic energy, leading to both peaceful applications and the creation of atomic weapons. He was also a passionate advocate for civil rights, pacifism, and Zionism, using his fame to promote these causes.
After fleeing the rise of Nazism in Germany, Einstein settled in the United States, where he took a position at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He remained in the U.S. until his death on April 18, 1955.
